Brief History / Additional Information about the Organization:
The Rhubarb Festival was established in 1990 by Darlene Johnson and Barb McWhorter hosting a group of 67 rhubarb lovers at the House of Burgess. It has grown to an event hosting 8,000 to 10,000 people each June in Central Park. It is a unique celebration that can only happen because of the hundreds of volunteers who give of their time, energy and desire to be part of this family-fun event. “If you plan it, they will come!”
