Aledo United Methodist Church
We exist to connect people with Jesus Christ.
Brief History / Additional Information about the Organization:
Started in 1857, our congregation met in barns, homes and business rooms until 1862 when we moved into a church building. Since our early beginnings in Aledo, we dedicated our current church building and adjacent parsonage on College Avenue in 1917. An education wing was added and dedicated in 1976. We have produced two ministers and reached out to the world through our missionaries and missions support. Through the years our congregation has been blessed with dedicated members who seek to glorify God through our many ministries.
We invite all to join us as we serve and worship God. We have programs available for people of all ages: Sunday School, Choir, Hand Bell Choir, Women's groups, Men's groups, Vacation Bible School, summer camp opportunities, mission work opportunities, Wednesday night meals and studies, Sunday morning Worship services (including a radio broadcast on the 4th Sunday each month). If you haven't found a church home, consider stopping in for a visit.
Regular Meeting Times: Each Sunday: Sunday School – 9:00a.m.; Worship Services – 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
