Thanks to proceeds from the Holly Days Hot Chocolate Hustle, Aledo Main Street is proud to give back to our local students through our annual scholarship program at Mercer County High School District #404.

In 2026, Aledo Main Street will award two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors of Mercer County School District #404 who are pursuing college, trade school, military service, or entering the workforce.

But this isn’t your typical scholarship.

We want to see creativity and hometown pride in action! Students are asked to submit a short (20–60 second) video highlighting a favorite local Aledo or Mercer County business, event, restaurant, or community spot — and tell us why it matters to them. Think fun, authentic, creative, and uniquely YOU.

This scholarship is about celebrating local, supporting our small businesses while investing in the future of our community. It’s an opportunity for students to showcase what makes our towns special through their own voice and perspective.
