Movies at Dusk in Aledo Central Park

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and the whole family to Aledo’s Central Park for Aledo Main Street’s Cinema at Central Summer Series.  Admission is always free, thanks to the 2024  Cinema at Central movie sponsors: Huffman’s Farm & Home, Midwest Bank and Walmart. Come early for a craft activity for kids starting at 7:30, courtesy of The Regional Office of Education #33. Enjoy a family friendly atmosphere under the stars. Movie starts at dusk- See ya there!

June 14- Ruby Gillman, Teenage KrakenThe animated film tells the story of teenage sea kraken Ruby Gillman. Struggling to fit in at her high school Oceanside High, Ruby discovers her ancestral destiny to reign as Warrior Queen of the Seven Seas, following in the footsteps of her grandmother. Overwhelmed by the throne and its heavy responsibilities, Ruby seeks help from Chelsea, a former mermaid who joins Ruby’s high school.
July 19- MigrationThe animated film tells the story of a family of ducks dreaming of the perfect getaway vacation. Mack, the overprotective father, cannot take the risk of traveling from New England all the way to Jamaica. When his two kids, Dax and Gwen, try to convince him to take the leap, Mack must navigate the tricky route through New York City while keeping his family safe.
August 9- Kung Fu Panda 4: After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior, is called upon by destiny to…give it a rest already. More specifically, he’s tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. That poses a couple of obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new lofty position.
